What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer Tutor position at Learn It Academic Services?
Overview
Learn It Systems is a national education organization whose mission is to help all children succeed in school and in life. Schedule: 4 times a week, Monday-Thursday, from 9 AM - 12 PM (plus 4 hours of weekly paid planning time)
Dates: June 2 - June 12 (2 weeks)
Responsibilities
- Plan and teach engaging math and reading lessons for grades 4-7.
- Assess students’ progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
- Communicate with parents regarding students’ progress and areas for improvement.
- Maintain a positive and supportive learning environment.
- Take daily student attendance
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education (or related field) preferred.
- Prior teaching experience in grades 4-7 is a plus.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to create engaging and differentiated lessons.

Additional Details:
- Must be comfortable and confident teaching grades 4-7 math and reading.
- Training will be held prior to the start of the program to review expectations, curriculum, and lesson planning.
- You will be responsible for daily lesson planning and submitting a progress report for each student at the end of the program.
