Duties
As an Assistant Chef, your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations, cutting preparing planning ensuring smooth workflow and high-quality food preparation.
- Overseeing food preparation, cooking, and presentation to maintain the highest standards of quality.
- Managing inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste.
- Supporting banquet operations by preparing large quantities of food for events while maintaining consistency in taste and presentation.
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment.
- Training and mentoring kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative atmosphere that encourages learning and growth.
Experience
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Proven experience in restaurant management or kitchen management roles within a hospitality setting.
- Strong skills in food preparation techniques and culinary arts.
- Familiarity with inventory control processes to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
- Experience working in banquet settings or large-scale food service is a plus.
- Excellent leadership abilities to inspire and guide team members effectively.
