The EIP module hasmatured over the past 8 years to become a robust tool for the program and somefairly extensive modifications need to be made to manage additional workflowsand data capturing for specific conditions. Since SendSS is going through a modernization,the program and SendSS have agreed at this time to not make the changes inlegacy SendSS and to reengineer the EIP suite of modules in the new Oracle Apexframework.

It is envisaged that this rewrite andenhancement effort that is needed will take about 2 years to accomplish workingalongside the original legacy EIP module developer (SME), the funding isavailable for this 2-year duration through a grant EIP secured a few monthsback.

EIP Modules to be rewritten in Oracle ApexFramework

1. EIP ABC's Report Form - Active bacterial coresurveillance case report
ABCs provides estimates of invasive disease forfive pathogens. ABCs collects data related to bacterial isolates anddemographic and clinical data. ABCs conducts surveillance for: Group AStreptococcus (GAS), Group B Streptococcus (GBS), Haemophilus influenzae,Neisseria meningitidis, Streptococcus pneumoniae.
There are other supplemental forms associatedwith the ABC’s - Group A Streptococcus Supplemental form, Group B StreptococcusSupplemental form, Streptococcus pneumoniae (SPN) Supplemental form.
2. ABC's - NIE, NNS & iEC Report Forms -These forms are used to collect data related to Neonatal Infection ExpandedTracking, Neonatal Sepsis Surveillance, Neonatal Invasive E.Coli InfectionExpanded Tracking.
3. iSA Report Form - The Invasive StaphylococcusAureus Infection Surveillance Program collects data for describing incidenceand trends of these infections.
4. Viral Module Reporting Form - Three Modulesin this application.

• FLUSurv Module - FluSurv-NET collects datarelated to influenza-associated hospitalizations.
• RSVSurv Module - The Respiratory SyncytialVirus (RSV) Hospitalization Surveillance Network (RSV-NET) monitorsRSV-associated hospitalizations.
• COVID Module - COVID-NET is part of theRespiratory Virus Hospitalization Surveillance Network, which trackshospitalizations associated with COVID-19.

5. CDI Module- This module is used to track andmonitor cases related to Clostridioides difficile infection.
