Assistant Toddler Teacher

We are looking for a qualified Toddler Teachers

Responsibilities

• Develop a careful and creative program suitable for children ages 6 weeks to 3 years old; 3 separate rooms including an infant room, toddler room and young explorers room
• Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, exploratory play, sensory, etc.) to teach children
• Observe each child to help them improve their sensory and social skills
• Organizeand follow individual childrens daily schedules for food and sleep as well as supervise children to ensure they are safe at all times
• Track children’s progress and report to parents
• Communicate with parents regularly to understand the children’s background and psyche
• Collaborate with other educators
• Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards

Skills

• Proven experience as an Infant and/or Toddler Teacher
• Excellent understanding of the principles of child development and milestones for ages ranging from 6 weeks to 3 years old
• Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms
• Excellent communication and instructional skills
• Ability to act as mediator between children
• Cool-tempered, friendly and reliable
• Balance between a creative mind and a practical acumen
• Certification in child CPR & First Aid
• Minimum of 6 semester hours or 9 CEU's in a child related field. Infant and Toddler teachers shall have at least 3 semester hours of the 6 or at least 4.5 CEUs out of the 9 in infant and toddler specific courses or training hours

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $13.00 - $13.50 per hour
