Job Description
Learning Bridge Charter School is a K-8 charter school located in beautiful Ely, Nevada. The school has a maximum student population of 198 students with each class having no more than 22 students. Under the direct supervision of the K-8 School Principal, the Assistant Principal is part of the Administrative Team with responsibilities for student management, school activities and services, community relations, personnel, and teacher evaluations. This position also serves as the Intervention Coordinator on campus.
Assistant Principal (50-60%): The Assistant Principal will perform the following duties as part of the Administrative Team
•Coordinate with the School Principal to assist in defining and enforcing school policies and guidelines for students.
•Enforce attendance policy.
•Meet with parents to discuss student behavioral or learning problems.
•Respond to disciplinary issues.
•Monitor student achievement using assessments
•Observe instruction in the classroom.
•Evaluate selected staff including pre-and post-conferencing.

Intervention Coordinator Duties (40-50%):
•In consultation with School Principal and teacher leaders, develop an intervention system to address the academic and/or behavior needs of students.
•Work with teachers to determine student needs, instructional strategies, and formative assessments.
•Assign students in one-on-one or multi-student intervention groups to provide services.
•Assess student to determine success of intervention or need for additional instruction or services.
•Compile reports or assign compilation of reports of student progress as needed.
