The Proposal Development Specialist will be responsible for crafting comprehensive and compelling responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Information (RFIs) related to Learning Care Group’s Employer Solutions Child Care Benefits. This person will lead the proposal development process by collaborating with various departments to gather essential information, and then write, edit, and proofread proposals to ensure they’re brand compliant and fit the voice of our organization. This role’s primary objective will be to effectively convey Learning Care Group’s unique differentiators to secure new business opportunities.
Essential Functions:
- Identify objectives within the RFP to create response strategy.
- Gather proposal information by identifying sources of information and coordinating with key providers and other internal contributors for additional information as needed.
- Create proposals that tell a compelling story of why an employer would want Learning Care Group as a partner and clearly communicate our differentiators from a sales perspective.
- Tailor proposal content to meet the specific needs and requirements of each client.
- Proofread and edit documents for accuracy, grammar, and punctuation.
- Manage multiple revisions, editing sections as necessary to maintain a consistent tone and voice throughout proposals.
- Ensure adherence to Learning Care Group’s brand image and ethical standards, aligning all activities with the company’s Vision, Mission, and Values.
- Schedule and facilitate proposal kick-off and key review meetings, ensuring timely delivery of completed proposals.
- Effectively manage multiple RFPs simultaneously, working independently in an action-oriented manner.
- Establish priorities and deadlines to ensure timely proposal submissions.
- Maintain records of all submitted and received proposals, ensuring the content library in Loopio (RFP response software) is consistently organized and up-to-date.
- Proactively monitor RFP email communications and bid sites for new RFP notifications, inquiries, decisions, and other relevant announcements.

Minimum Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Experience in the child care industry and/or employer benefits is preferred.
- 4 years of experience in content creation or proposal writing (writing samples will be required).

- Outstanding writing and communication skills.
- Marketing and/or sales background is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Effective project management skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to meet established deadlines.
- Strong customer service orientation, with the ability to engage both internal and external clients.
- Ability to adapt to frequent interruptions and changing priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with RFP software (e.g., Loopio) is preferred.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Compensation based on position, education and experience. Bi-weekly paid.
- $65-70,000 base salary.
- This position is also eligible for our Support Central bonus program which is based on annual achievement of company performance.

- This position is eligible for paid time off. All Corporate employees are enrolled in our Flexible Paid Time Off (PTO) plan. This plan allows for flexibility and discretion between employees and managers in taking time off - with no set accrual for vacation or sick time. Employees can use Flexible PTO for any reason and is compliant with the Colorado Healthy Families Work Act.
