Learning Exchange serves non-public schools throughout the City of Milwaukee. We are seeking ESL certified teachers to fill full and part time Title III teaching positions for the upcoming school year. Title III Teachers hired by Learning Exchange are placed in Milwaukee area non-public schools to work with small groups of students with English as a Second Language needs.
Please note: Learning Exchange has full time and part time teaching placements. Benefits are available to staff members who work 30 hours or more per week.
Learning Exchange is seeking candidates for the following full time and part time positions:
- K-12 English as a Second Language (1395 Certification required) Teacher
Requirements:
- State of Wisconsin Teacher License (Please note: a State of Wisconsin Substitute Teaching license does not meet the qualifications for any of these positions, including the substitute interventionist positions)
- 1395 Certification - Developmental levels of K-8th grade or K-12th grade
Duties:
- Small group English Language Acquisition instruction with push in and pull out services for students that have English as a Second Language
- Lesson planning and delivery of intervention / instruction
- STAR testing
- Reporting daily attendance, progress monitoring using online tools
- In-person and written communications with stakeholders
- Parent communications regarding student progress
- Family Engagement event participation

- All teaching resources are provided for you and support is provided to help you with creating a curriculum for your students
- Full time teachers receive 45 minute prep and a 45 minute lunch each day
- Ongoing training and support provided by the Learning Exchange Instructional Leadership team.
- Full Time Teachers are paid (reflective of each employee's weekly FTE) 5 days for Christmas Break, 5 days for Spring Break. 8 hours paid per each holiday: Labor Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day, MLK Day, Good Friday, and Memorial Day.
Additional Tasks / Work Environment
- Title III teachers are placed in schools which may require climbing stairs, smaller classroom spaces
- Title III teachers often travel between multiple locations, depending on desired FTE
- Light lifting, walking, escorting students in between sessions
- Sitting for longer periods of time while working with small groups of students
Qualified candidates will go through an interview process, which includes a background check.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $37.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
