We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Lead Teacher to join our team and help shape an engaging, nurturing, and dynamic learning environment for preschool-aged children. In this key role, you'll be responsible for crafting and delivering creative, age-appropriate lessons that foster children’s growth, while also building strong relationships with families. Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement weekly, theme-driven lesson plans that inspire and support children's developmental milestones.
- Create a classroom atmosphere that encourages curiosity, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning.
- Facilitate social-emotional and cognitive development through interactive activities in subjects like math, literacy, science, art, and movement.
- Observe, assess, and track each child's progress to tailor teaching approaches and provide regular, meaningful feedback to families.
- Use effective classroom management techniques to maintain an organized, yet flexible learning environment.
- Keep parents informed with regular updates about their child’s progress and school happenings.
- Collaborate with team members to refine the curriculum and contribute to school-wide initiatives and events.
Qualifications:
- Required: New York State Teaching Certification in Early Childhood Education, B-2, N-6, 1-6.
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Previous experience working in an early childhood education setting.
- In-depth knowledge of child development and effective classroom management strategies.
- Strong communication skills, with a caring and professional approach when working with families and staff.
