Daycare/Preschool Teacher for Pre-K Class (4-5 year olds)

Learning Land has been providing families in South King County quality childcare for over 25 years. We are a close-knit group of childcare professionals who enjoy what we do and are passionate about working as a team to provide the best care possible. The Lead Preschool Teacher must be energetic and interact with the children while creating a fun and positive environment. Responsibilities include the safety, care and education of the preschool children enrolled in center and will demonstrate competency in these areas and others:

• Assist with planning and implementing curriculum and designing the indoor and outdoor learning environments based upon knowledge of child development, best practice and individualized instruction.
• Observing, documenting, and assessing children’s growth and overall development
• Implementing , facilitating, and supervising age and developmentally appropriate, culturally sensitive learning activities.
• Adhering to Early Achievers best practices of child interactions and classroom management strategies.
• Planning and implementing positive guidance strategies designed to meet the individual needs of the children in care; support positive child outcomes; teach and participate in positive assistance in potty-training, open and professional communication with co-workers, managers, and families.
• Build and sustain warm, responsive, and positive relationships with all children and their family to create a welcoming environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
