As a DSP, you will provide essential support to individuals with IDD, helping them lead independent, fulfilling lives . Your role includes :
- Assisting with daily living skills such as : learn to budget money, shop, explore new hobbies and interests, cooking, and home management etc.
- Encouraging and supporting social and community engagement.
- Promoting independence and skill-building in a respectful and empowering manner.
- Advocating for individuals’ rights, choices, and well-being.
- Provide on-the-job support / coaching to employees with disabilities in assisting with developing their skills to maintain competitive employment.
