Job Coach/Transition Instructor

Learning Prep School in Newton, MA is seeking a Job Coach/Transition Instructor to join our faculty as soon as possible. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a dynamic team of highly qualified special education professionals! Our transition department teaches topics including consumer and life skills and supports students as part of our Experiential Learning Program out in the community at various job sites. Learning Prep faculty use a wide array of language-based practices and universal learning supports to help our students access curriculum and become engaged and ready learners. The ideal candidate for this position will be comfortable working with a wide range of students and be comfortable transporting students in one of our school vans. Our students have complex learning needs and we are committed to providing them with the education they deserve! LPS is a school for kids with complex profiles whose primary area of need is a language-based learning disability. While we are not a therapeutic setting or a program for students with significant behavioral support needs, we do offer speech-language pathology, occupational therapy, and counseling as part of our service delivery model.
