School Administrator - Special Education Preschool

Learning Together, in Montgomery NY, is currently seeking a Full Time School Administrator who is credentialed or in process with a CAS (SBL/SDL). The School Administrator Position is open for Immediate Employment. We invite you to join our team of dedicated, dynamic, and experienced professionals in a child and family friendly play based preschool environment.

Learning Together is a highly regarded preschool program serving children with and without special needs in an integrated setting. Preschool Children are taught by an early childhood Special Education Teacher with a team of 2 Teaching Assistants and are supported by a full staff of professionals. Learning Togethers staff include SLPs, OTRs, COTAs, PTs, PTAs, School Psychologists, Social Workers, School Nurses, an Instructional Leader, a Music Therapist and a BCBA.

School Administrator responsibilities include:

  • Curriculum development, and implementation
  • Ensuring that academic policies and curriculum are followed
  • Developing and tracking benchmarks for measuring success
  • Helping teachers maximize their potential
  • Meeting and listening to concerns of staff on a regular basis
  • Encouraging, guiding and assisting teachers and support staff
  • Meeting with the Director and administrators on a regular basis
  • Providing an atmosphere free of any bias in which staff and students can achieve their maximum potential
  • Preparing annual staff reviews and providing constructive feedback for growth and development
  • Coordinating Multidisciplinary Evaluations, and presenting evaluation findings to the CPSE

The successful School Administrator candidate possesses:

  • Experience or high interest to work with preschoolers
  • Familiarity with all facets of Preschool Special Education
  • Experience in supervision of Special Education Teachers and their classrooms, and related service personnel as well
  • Certification or progress toward a School Administrator - SBL/SDL
  • Experience with preschoolers within a classroom setting
  • Professional and Personal References required
