Learning Tree Childcare & Preschool is seeking enthusiastic individuals to work in our program. Currently looking to fill a position in our main location for our Toddler room (2–3-year-olds). If you are interested in quality education, then we are interested in you making the Learning Tree is the place where you want to work! Schedule hours for these positions are between 6:00am and 5pm. An example, 6:00am-3:00pm w/break or 6:00-2:00pm w/o break M-F.

Job Requirements
Team lead teachers must show leadership qualities such as organizational skills, a
Vision of quality care and education of children, ability to supervise and support teachers
in a team-teaching setting, plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum to
meet the needs of the individual children.
Job Responsibilities
• Team leaders plan and implement, with the help of the other teachers and/or
assistants, a developmentally appropriate schedule of routines and activities based on
the needs of the individual child's needs. The program, schedule and activities will
reflect the philosophies and goals of the center.
• Team leaders are responsible for delegating tasks that will reach the goals of the
center and the children who are enrolled.
• Evaluating with the director, the strengths of each teacher, assistant teacher or student
teacher to decide where they will be most valuable to the team. Support the team
members to overcome areas of weakness.
• Team leaders will observe, record, develop and evaluate a developmental portfolio for
each child. The portfolio will stay with the child while enrolled at our center. The
portfolio will be a combination of anecdotal notes, photos, drawings done by the
child, and projects the child was involved in.
• Formulate a monthly plan for the children in the group based on the developmental
needs of each child. The plan will be discussed in a team meeting with the director. A
copy will be given to the director at the time of the meeting.
• Plan and conduct two parent/teacher conferences per year.
• Communicate with the parents daily, in person or in writing or ensure that the parent
is informed about the child's day.
• They are also responsible or assigning a person to take the emergency cards and the
daily attendance with them whenever the group leaves the room.
• Conducting a monthly safety check of the room.
• Keeping attendance records and turning them in to the office at the end of each week.
• Teachers are responsible for seeing that the room is tidy at the end of the day. If the
teacher is not the last person to use the room, the teacher in charge of the room will
assign a person to tidy the room before they leave for the night.
• Be responsible for signing themselves in and out for each day worked.
• Call in as soon as possible if unable to come in to work. Do Not Leave A Message.
Talk to the director or administrator.
• Assigning the person who closes the room at night to do what cleaning is necessary.
• Team Lead teachers supervise other teachers in the team assistants, volunteers, and
student teachers.
• Team Lead Teachers are supervised and evaluated by the director and the other
teachers in their team.
• Team Lead Teachers evaluate the other teachers, assistant teachers and the director.
• All Teachers will be involved in the evaluation and development of new goals for the
center's program.
• Do a Self-Evaluation and Professional Goal Setting
• Continue professional development and renew Registry annually.
Requirements
Pass Background Request Check
Be 18 years of age.
A level 10 or higher on the registry.
Nice To Haves
2 years or more in Infant and Toddler environments in a licensed center.
