Responsibilities
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions to students, addressing personal, academic, and social concerns.
- Develop and implement educational programs and workshops aimed at enhancing student skills and knowledge.
- Conduct assessments to identify student needs and create tailored action plans for support.
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, and external resources to facilitate student success initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records of counseling sessions and student progress in accordance with confidentiality policies.
- Engage in public speaking opportunities to educate students about available resources and support services.
- Participate in recruiting efforts by conducting interviews and providing insights on prospective candidates for counseling programs.
Skills
- Experience working with students in an educational setting is essential.
- Proficient in using PeopleSoft or Ellucian for administrative tasks related to student management.
- Strong recruiting and interviewing skills to assist in identifying potential candidates for counseling roles.
- Ability to conduct individual and group counseling effectively, fostering a safe space for discussion.
