Part-Time Teacher - Paramus, NJ

Here at LearnWell, we've dedicated ourselves to making a life-changing impact on the 10 million students currently in the U.S. who live with some type of behavioral health need (depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, eating disorder, substance use). For nearly 26 years, we have provided on-site instructional services within the hospital setting, helping students to continue their academic progress during treatment and successfully reenter the classroom. LearnWell has a network of 180 dedicated educators that commit themselves daily to embracing our mission and positively impacting generations to come LearnWell is currently looking for our next creative and passionate teacher to fill a part-time school year tutoring position in Paramus,NJ. We would love to collaborate with you and help more kids journey towards their full potential. In this part time tutoring position you will learn new skills inside and outside of the classroom, and be challenged daily in a unique childrens hospital setting. Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Teaching children ages 5-18 years old in a 1:1 setting * Use relevant technology to support and differentiate instruction * Working with children on their individual school curriculum * Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students and use information to adjust teaching strategies * Updating daily attendance and creating daily session reports for each student * Communicating with hospital staff and any corresponding district personnel The position is 5 days a week (M-F) and has part time hours during the day. Hours are flexible depending on how many students need academic tutoring each day.

Salary : $23 - $25
