Responsibilities
- Conduct individual and group training sessions for dogs of various breeds and temperaments.
- Assess each dog's behavior and develop tailored training plans.
- Educate dog owners on effective training techniques, behavior management, and proper care.
- Maintain a positive and supportive environment for both dogs and their owners.
- Monitor progress of dogs in training and adjust methods as necessary.
- Provide guidance on basic obedience commands, socialization, and advanced skills.
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure the well-being of all animals in care.
- Keep accurate records of training sessions, client feedback, and dog progress.
Requirements
- Proven experience in dog training or related fields such as veterinary assistance or animal handling.
- Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients and address their concerns.
- Knowledge of canine behavior, training methodologies, and animal care best practices.
- Experience with other animals (e.g., equine) is a plus but not required.
- Certification in dog training or related fields is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends if necessary.
