Position Summary
Join our team and contribute to creating high-quality, versatile multi-purpose products. As a Production Operator II you will operate various machinery, support routine production tasks, and assist in maintaining the production flow. This role is perfect for someone with foundational manufacturing skills, a team-oriented mindset, and a willingness to learn and grow. Essential Functions
- Operate assigned production machinery under minimal supervision.
- Perform routine setups and adjustments for equipment under predefined parameters.
- Monitor equipment output to ensure production standards are met.
- Inspect parts for quality using basic measuring tools (e.g., calipers, gauges).
- Communicate effectively with team members to resolve minor production challenges.
Additional Functions
- Assist in preparing workstations and tools for daily production.
- Support process improvements under guidance from senior team members.
- Perform basic cleaning and maintenance of work areas.
- Crosstrain on other equipment and assist with level I tasks as needed.
Education and Experience
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
- One year work experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Expected to perform all levels I, II machine operations in the related work area.
- Knowledge and awareness to comply with all standard OSHA and State safety regulations and policies, Lock Out Tag Out procedures for all types of equipment, proper handling of solvents and chemicals according to MSDS sheets, vision, hearing and respiratory protection, and proper lifting techniques as may be required within the scope of the job at hand.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and production systems preferred.
- Ability to effectively utilize basic shop math skills required.
- Ability to read, comprehend, speak and write English at a level to effectively utilize and interpret MSDS’s, work instructions, and technical manuals.
- Ability to use inspection and measuring devices including calipers, drop indicators, height gauges, micrometers, Keyence, and CMM equipment preferred.
- Basic blueprint reading, and computer skills required.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will frequently sit; use hands to handle, grasp, or keyboard; reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear. The employee occasionally stands or walks; climbs; stoops or crouches; and pushes/pulls. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
The employee frequently lifts and/or moves up to 25 lbs., and occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 55 lbs. The employee frequently pushes/pulls an average of 40 lbs., and occasionally pushes/pulls up to 70 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
Working Conditions/Physical Hazards
While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently exposed to production environment. Work area is clean and well-lit. All employees are expected to adhere to Company safety policies and wear personal protective equipment when exposed to work areas or performing tasks where it is required.
