This position is on Swing Shift, Monday - Thursday 2 : 00pm - 12 : 30am.

Essential Functions
- Basic Print Reading : interpreting title block, notes, specification limits, and identifying geometric features.
- Determine Conformance of product by comparing print specification to actual measured results.
- Verify production control measurements when either assisting operators or as part of an audit.
- Perform finished product inspection following a control plan.
- Contain non-conforming product using the Leatherman NMR Process.
- Basic operation of hand metrology equipment including : Caliper, Micrometer, Pin Gages, Drop Indicator.
- Identify when gages are near their calibration cycles and assist with segregating them for calibration.
- Contribute to Gage R&R studies as an inspector.
- Advise operators on the correct use of metrology equipment and interpretation of the print specification.
- Support production value streams when quality issues arise. Alert quality technicians when measurement systems issues arise.

The employee frequently lifts and / or moves up to 55 lbs. The employee frequently pushes / pulls an average of 40 lbs., and occasionally pushes / pulls up to 70 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
Working Conditions / Physical Hazards
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a production environment. Work area is well lit. All employees are expected to adhere to Company safety policies and wear personal protective equipment when exposed to work areas or performing tasks where it is required.
