Forester

Essential job functions include but are not limited to:

• Conduct field surveys and assessments to gather data on forest conditions
• Develop and implement forest management plans
• Monitor and evaluate the health and growth of trees
• Identify and assess potential risks to forest health, such as pests or disease
• Coordinate with landowners, government agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulations and best practices
• Supervise and lead teams of forestry technicians or other staff members
• Utilize GIS and other technology to analyze data and make informed decisions
• Conduct research and stay up-to-date on advancements in forestry practices

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with GIS software for mapping and analysis
• Certification as a Forester or similar professional designation
• Knowledge of local flora, fauna, and ecosystems

Employment Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Forestry or related field
• Strong knowledge of forestry principles, practices, and regulations
• Proficient in using forestry tools, equipment, and technology
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with diverse stakeholders
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in the field
• Physical stamina to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Valid driver's license·

This is a full time position that requires travel to job sites. It involves outdoor manual labor in all weather conditions. Pay dependent on experience.
