We’re entering an exciting new chapter and are seeking a highly experienced Key Accounts Sales Manager to help drive growth and strengthen our customer relationships in the New York region.
The Role:
As the Key Accounts Sales Manager, you will be the face of Leaven & Co, developing and nurturing relationships with chefs, purchasers, and business owners. You will leverage your extensive network and food sales expertise to expand our customer base and drive revenue growth.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers, including chefs, foodservice purchasers, and small business owners.
- Develop new opportunities by leveraging your network of contacts in the NY region, particularly within key purchasing groups (e.g., Compass Group, Foodbuy, Restaurant Associates, Sodexo).
- Understand customer needs and recommend the right mix of products from our extensive catalog of 200 breads and pastries.
- Collaborate with the bakery team to develop custom products for clients and respond to last-minute requests with flexibility and care.
- Meet and exceed sales targets, driving revenue growth through strategic account management and new business development.
- Represent Leaven & Co. at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in food sales, with a proven track record of success in driving revenue and building customer relationships.
- A strong network of contacts within the New York foodservice industry, particularly chefs, purchasers, and key accounts like Compass Group, Foodbuy, Sodexo or Baldor.
- Experience working with artisanal or specialty food products is a plus but not required.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Self-motivated and results-driven, with the ability to work independently while aligning with the goals of the team.
