Our family owned funeral home, with four locations, is seeking a Funeral Director/Embalmer who embodies this core value to join our experienced team of professionals.

Primary Role
The primary role of a Leavitt Funeral Director and Embalmer includes, but is not solely limited to :
- Assignment as the principal funeral director for families and be responsible for carrying out all details surrounding the planned funeral, including overseeing any gathering and the funeral.
- Perform the standard duties associated with being an embalmer, including taking night call on a rotating schedule with the fellow members of your embalming team.
Specific Focus
The Leavitt funeral directors and embalmers have four key areas of focus:
- Technical - Executing at the highest level of skill, offering respect and dignity of care for the deceased during transfers, identification, preparation, embalming, cosmetology, and restoration.
- Family Relations - The Leavitt Funeral Home Cycle of Excellence is reassuring families, giving them a sense of comfort, and well-being while providing directions through the arrangement and funeral process with an intense focus on communication accuracy and excellence.
- Case Management - Understanding the administrative side of funeral service such as contracts, documents, preneed forms, case management software, and other information requiring accuracy, follow through, and urgency.
- Services - Executing and implementing the choices requested by a family, is what that family will remember. A standard of excellence in the arrangement and coordination of visitation, service, burial/cremation, needed facilities and staffing is critical and essential to the Leavitt Funeral Home brand.

- funeral home: 1 year (Required)
License/Certification:
- Funeral Director License in the State of WV or Ohio (Preferred)
