Personal Lines Agent

North Cascade Insurance, a member of Leavitt Group Northwest, with offices in Mount Vernon and Anacortes, WA is looking for a Personal Lines Agent for their Growing Operations.

*The person filling this position will work primarily out of our Anacortes location.  Depending on experience and skill set, a potential candidate may be able to set up a hybrid schedule working part-time from either home or our Mount Vernon office.

Job Description:

This position has Dual Priority: As a licensed agent, the ideal candidate will need to successfully present multiple insurance options to potential New Business Clients and have the ability to close the purchase utilizing the best option that meets the needs of the individual/family.  Equally as important, this position requires that the agent be able to provide excellent customer service in managing an existing/growing client base through account reviews so each client continues to have the appropriate coverage to meet their evolving needs.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• This position will write new business and manage their book of business.
• During routine service contacts, they will also use their knowledge to identify any coverage gaps associated with a customer’s request and educate the customer on ways to mitigate their risk.
• The Agent will document all contacts, maintain customer records and files in a professional manner, and update customer information as appropriate for accuracy.
• Additionally, they will use knowledge of personal lines products, carriers, and agency and carrier rules to service customers effectively.  
• Additional responsibilities could include drafting and sending correspondence, and other tasks of a service nature and other duties as assigned.  
• In addition to inbound service calls, the Agent performs service activities to support their team and their manager or others, consistent with the responsibilities outlined above.

Job Requirements/Competencies:

• Property and Casualty license Will be required. However, this position is open to anyone seeking a career in insurance. On-going Training is part of our business model.

*Completing insurance school / obtaining a Property & Casualty Insurance License will be required within the first 30 days of employment. (if not currently licensed).

• Excellent communication skills; verbally and written.
• Detail oriented and able to maintain compliance standards.
• Must be dependable, provide timely response, and complete work activities.
