Responsibilities
The Licensed Practical Nurse delivers efficient and effective nursing care under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN), achieving positive clinical outcomes and patient/family satisfaction.
*Evaluates patients/residents to collect data, observe condition, and report changes in condition.
*Contributes to nursing assessments and care planning.
*Administers medications and performs treatments per physician orders.
*Supervises and monitors patient care provided by unlicensed staff.
Qualifications
A Licensed Practical Nurse must be a graduate of an approved school for practical or vocational nursing and currently licensed by the State Board of Nursing or pending licensed practical nurse licensure.
