Summary
To relieve the principal of such impediments as prevent him / her from fulfilling his / her chief responsibility of promoting the educational well being of each student in the school.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Collaborates on schedules of special classes and extracurricular activities.
- Assists the principal in conducting teacher evaluations.
- Cooperates in the conducting of safety inspections and safety drill practice activities.
- Assists in maintaining discipline throughout the student body, and deals with special cases as necessary.
- Serves with parent, faculty, and student groups as requested in advancing educational and related activities and objectives.
- Collaborates in implementing positive behavior in the building.
- Performs such record-keeping functions as the principal may direct.
- Performs such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities as the principal may from time to time assign.

Education / Experience
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Skills and Abilities
The individual must be organized, honest, educationally grounded, and have excellent leadership skills.
Language
This individual must be able to present information to staff members, other administrators, and the school board. Must have the ability to communicate effectively with students and staff, both verbally and in writing.
Computation
Ability to compute ratios, percentages, and create and interpret graphs and figures.
Reasoning
Must have the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Technology
Basic computer word processing, spreadsheet, and research skills. Ability to access and create reports using the district's student information software.
Additional Skills and Abilities
Good communication skills are essential.
Must be able to keep information confidential when required by law, policy, or a particular situation.

Attendance
Attendance is an essential function of the job. The individual may occasionally be asked to work irregular or extended hours. This position will require occasional travel among district buildings and the community.

Terms of Employment
11 months. Salary and work year to be established by the Board.
