What are the responsibilities and job description for the Long Term Substitute 5th Grade Teacher position at Lebanon School District (SAU 88)?
Job Overview: Lebanon Middle School seeks a full-time Long Term Substitute 5th Grade Teacher for the remainder of the 2024-2025 school year ending on 06/18/2025. This educator will be responsible for teaching core subjects and serving as an advisor to 5th-grade students in our learner-centered environment. Specific teaching assignments (STEM or Humanities focus) will be determined based on the strengths of the selected candidates and our team’s needs. The Ideal candidate will need to be able to: • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom culture. • Embrace innovative teaching practices such as Project & Problem-Based Learning. • Utilize technology effectively to enhance learning. • Engage students in real-world applications of math, science, literacy, and social studies. • Work well in a team-based model and contribute to a strong professional learning community.
The regular work schedule is 7.5 hours a day, Monday-Friday with a 30-minute duty-free lunch. This position would fall under the Lebanon Education Association (Teacher’s Union).
Requirements: • Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education or related field is preferred. • Valid NH teaching license in Elementary Education. • At least 1 year of teaching experience are preferred. • Strong technology integration skills

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move items weighing up to 15 pounds. Specific vision ability required by this job includes close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
