What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paraeducator position at Lebanon School District (SAU 88)?
Job Overview:
Lebanon High School has an immediate opening for a motivated and qualified individual to perform the duties of a paraeducator in the high school setting for the 2024-2025 school year and beyond. The job requires the paraeducator to support regular education students as they strive for success. This individual will work in our Guided Study program and with our English Language Learner (ELL) population..
The regular work schedule is 7 hours a day, Monday-Friday with a 30-minute duty-free lunch. Paraeducators perform a duty (morning or afternoon) and cover recess for the classroom.
Paraeducator Certification preferred, but not required.
- To assist the staff/related service providers in achieving instructional objectives.
- To facilitate the participation of all students in the general curriculum and to develop their abilities to function independently.
- To assist collaborating teacher(s) in facilitating the personal, social, and intellectual growth of student(s).
- Participation in professional learning opportunities.
- Flexibility in working in a variety of school settings and possible travel to alternative locations as necessary.
