What are the responsibilities and job description for the School Police Officer position at Lebanon School District?
Position Title: School Police Officer
Job Goal: The School Police Officer is responsible for providing safety and security support to district schools and property in order to deter crimes against students, staff, or property. The officer will monitor both the interior and exterior of the buildings to ensure a safe learning environment for the students and staff. The individual will promote a positive rapport with students, staff, and the community. The individual will serve as a first responder in crisis situations and assist the administration, local law enforcement and emergency management services as requested.
Qualifications:
- Current or prior law enforcement experience required
- Effective communication with local outside support and emergency management agencies
- Must hold a valid PA Driver’s License
