Summary/Objective
The Certified Electrician supports our HVAC/HVAR operations by performing electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance. This role involves troubleshooting electrical components, ensuring compliance with safety codes and regulations, and collaborating with HVAC technicians to deliver high-quality service. The ideal candidate will have experience working with control systems, wiring, and electrical components specific to HVAC equipment. This position requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Essential Functions
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical components of HVAC/HVAR systems, including wiring, motors, and control systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical schematics.
- Ensure all electrical work meets local, state, and national codes and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with HVAC technicians to complete projects efficiently.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed and materials used.
- Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.

Work Environment
This position works in the shop at LeBlanc & Associates and on the job site. It is subject to environmental changes of heat and cold. It is necessary to work in confined spaces, around welding and smoke and in environments where increased safety measures are necessary.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Regular days of work are typically Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, but schedules may change seasonally to encompass weather conditions and project schedules. This position regularly requires long hours and rotational weekends on call in order to meet business needs.
Travel
Travel is required to both local and non-local jobsites, including offshore. Travel outside of the country may also be required.
Required Education, Certificates and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent
State or Local Journeyman or Master Electrician License
Preferred Education and Experience
2 years of experience in electrical work related to HVAC/HVAR systems
