About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Automation Technician to join our team at LeClaire Mfg. As an Automation Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our robotic manufacturing equipment and processes. Your main goal will be to minimize downtime and maximize productivity by troubleshooting and repairing any issues that arise. You will work closely with our engineering and production teams to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions that increase efficiency and quality.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Some experience in industrial automation
- Knowledge of Allen-Bradley and Siemens PLCs
- Experience with control panels, ladder logic, electrical controls, pneumatics, and human-machine interface
- Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and blueprints
- Associate's or bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field
- Experience with robotics and motion control systems
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance on robotic manufacturing equipment and systems
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to identify areas for improvement
- Implement solutions to increase efficiency and quality
- Assist with the creation of new robotic cells
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs
Skills:
As an Automation Technician, you will use your expertise in Allen-Bradley and Siemens PLCs, control panels, ladder logic, electrical controls, pneumatics, and human-machine interface to ensure the smooth operation of our manufacturing equipment and processes. You will work closely with our engineering and production teams to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions that increase efficiency and quality.
