BASIC POSITION SUMMARY:
The IT Data Analyst is responsible for developing, maintaining, and supporting the business intelligence solutions across TEC and its subsidiaries. This position will utilize technical expertise to ensure data is accurate and high-quality. The IT Data Analyst will analyze data and present it in a way that will assist with better decision making.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

- Analyzes and write queries to extract and load data for reports and projects
- Designs, develops, delivers, and maintains meaningful and sustainable reports
- Examines data quality, applications, and functions
- Research new data sources and analytical tools
- Removes corrupted data and fixes coding errors and related problems
- Develops and maintains data bases and data systems – reorganizing data in a readable format
- Performs analysis to assess quality and meaning of data
- Uses statistical tools to identify, analyze, and interpret patterns and trends in complex data sets that could be helpful for diagnosis and prediction
- Works with programmers, engineers, and management to identify process improvement opportunities, propose system modifications, and devise data governance strategies
- Create or manage dashboards
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Assist the Director of Information Technology or other IT team members with projects
- Other duties as needed
Job Qualifications:
Education/Experience – Bachelor’s degree in a computer science related discipline or a minimum of two (2) years of related work experience is required. Requires experience using SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and reporting. Must understand and be able to work with data in relational and non-relational databases. Knowledge of scripting languages such as C#, Python, or other related languages.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities – Knowledge of trends, issues, and accepted practices relevant to the position; Experience with data analytics and visualization tools; Experience developing, designing, and supporting applications and relational databases; Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills; Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills; Must have the ability to manage multiple priorities.
