Corry Memorial Hospital is in search of a per diem sonographer to produce images for diagnostic purposes. Diagnostic Medical Sonographer job duties include:
- Preparing the diagnostic equipment before appointments
- Discussing the procedure and medical history with patients
- Positioning the patient to produce the highest-quality images
- Creating images of organs and tissues for diagnostic and assessment purposes using an ultrasound transducer
- Ensuring the generated images are clear and capture the necessary information
- Identifying potential abnormalities detected with the images
- Providing a summary of the findings and documenting it in patient records
- Communicating with physicians and other medical team members, who use the images to make a diagnosis
