Contracts Administrator

A premier employer is looking for a skilled Contracts Administrator to join their team in Sanford, ME. If you have experience managing government contracts in a manufacturing setting, then please consider this direct-hire role in a fast-paced, collaborative environment!

Responsibilities of the Contracts Administrator

  • Handle all aspects of contract management (federal, state, municipal, GPO, university, and consortium contracts) including drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and providing interpretation to management and staff
  • Support active negotiations, new contracts, and contract renewals
  • Accurately analyze, review, and process quote requests for bids and proposals in compliance with product specifications
  • Ensure accurate bid responses, order processing, and successful negotiation and coordination of awarded contracts
  • Analyze and mitigate potential risks that contract changes may pose to the organization
  • Ensure contracts are executed in accordance with corporate strategies and budget guidelines, and that all deadlines and conditions described in contracts are met
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure contract compliance and customer satisfaction
  • Maintain detailed and up-to-date contracts records and documentation, and prepare reports
  • Perform additional tasks and projects as required

Qualifications of the Contracts Administrator

  • 2-3 years prior experience in customer service and contracts administration required, in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience managing government contracts in a manufacturing environment, including reviewing contract terms, ensuring compliance with agency regulations, and coordinating with internal teams to meet contractual obligations
  • Demonstrated track record of contract business growth year over year
  • Familiarity with legal requirements, terms, and conditions
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Life Sciences, or a related field preferred
  • Experience with CRM systems such Salesforce a plus
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • Must have good mechanical inclination and have basic blueprint understanding
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • High energy level, ambition, and demonstrated ability to solve problems and remain organized
