Electrical/Industrial PLC/Controls Technician
Our client is seeking experienced candidates for their Electrical/Industrial PLC/Controls Technician position. You’ll join the team at a fast-paced manufacturer that truly appreciates its employees.
Responsibilities of the Electrical/Industrial PLC/Controls Technician
Independently troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild all types of complex electrical/electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatically controlled production equipment, with proficiency and versatility
- Install and troubleshoot AC and DC circuits and equipment (24vdc, 120/208/480vac)
- Program, troubleshoot, and network PLCs
- Install, program, and troubleshoot AC drives and HMI panels
- Perform preventive maintenance per equipment schedule
- Rebuild electrical mechanical devices
- Work with Engineering to design, select, modify, and/or adapt equipment or procedures to specific project requirements
- Test, calibrate, and repair electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and electronic measuring, recording, and indicating instruments and equipment for conformance to establish standards, and assist in formulating calibrating standards
- Maintain work records
- Contribute to continuous improvement activities
Qualifications of the Electrical/Industrial PLC/Controls Technician
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field plus 3 years of experience troubleshooting, repairing and rebuilding electrical, PLC, and hydraulic machinery; or a minimum of 7 years of industrial experience in a skilled trade with an electrical discipline and PLC experience, with no formal post-secondary education
- Advanced PLC degree or certifications a plus
- Must have own trade tools
- Demonstrated ability to install, repair, troubleshoot, and maintain machinery and equipment, and read/interpret blueprints and schematics
- Formal training on AC/DC circuits and PLCs, working knowledge of mechanical systems, and instrumentation and controls experience
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work well independently and as part of a team

Salary : $85,000 - $120,000
