Field Service Engineer – Midwest
A global leader is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join their team. You’ll provide crucial onsite customer support by solving technical issues and completing periodic maintenance and enhancements to this company’s innovative industrial printing equipment. Regular domestic travel within the U.S. and occasional international travel are required for this excellent direct-hire role.
Responsibilities of the Field Service Engineer – Midwest
- Solve technical issues for customer equipment, perform periodic maintenance, install enhancements as needed, and promote supported equipment
- Troubleshoot equipment issues using diagnostic systems and specialty tools
- Implement basic level process control solutions and interfaces, e.g., PLCs, HMIs Networking topology, AC and DC drives, and feedback systems
- Ensure equipment, testing, and maintenance meet customer specifications
- Instruct and train customer's resources on site
- Collect and record test data, and complete all paperwork in a timely fashion
- Perform various other departmental duties as assigned or directed, including coordinating special projects
Qualifications of the Field Service Engineer – Midwest
- High school equivalent plus 2 years of practical trade training, 2-4 years of technical college, or 4-year degree
- 3 years of work experience in a comparable function
- Knowledge of and experience with control systems, measurement, and control engineering
- Willingness to travel domestically frequently and internationally 5-10% of the time
- Computer skills including MS Office
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Solid customer service skills
