Legal Assistant – Estate Planning
A successful organization is looking for a skilled Legal Assistant for their Estate Planning division. This full-time, direct-hire role offers a supportive environment to further your legal career as well as comprehensive benefits!
- Responsibilities of the Legal Assistant – Estate Planning Open and close files
- Conduct conflict checks
- Manage case database and status tracker
- Help prepare files
- Draft correspondence
- Schedule appointments and meetings
- Manage calendar for court dates and deadlines
- Receive, scan, and distribute incoming and outgoing mail
- Communicate with potential and existing clients via phone and email
- Qualifications of the Legal Assistant – Estate Planning Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in trusts and estates, or related field is preferred
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe; experience scanning and maintaining electronic files is a plus
- Attention to detail and proofreading skills
- Must have excellent secretarial skills with the ability to multitask under pressure and prioritize
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
