Responsibilities of the Shipping Coordinator
- Obtain shipping quotes
- Package and coordinate all outgoing shipments
- Coordinate international shipments
- Invoice customers
- Help unload delivery trucks
- Maintain inventory of shipping materials
- Follow safety procedures
- Maintain records
- Work collaboratively to meet goals
- Implement continuous improvement processes
- Keep work area clean and well-organized
- Perform additional tasks as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of experience in a warehouse setting
- International shipping experience, including knowledge of Incoterms
- Forklift experience
- Computer skills including Microsoft Office
- Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
