POSITION :
Beauty and Wellness PR Account AD / Director
LOCATION :
New York, NY or Los Angeles
JOB TYPE : Full Time
The Brand AAD / AD will play an integral role in researching, developing, designing, and implementing key projects and initiatives for beauty / wellness, lifestyle and cpg accounts. The AAD / AD will lead the account management, and serve as the first-line contact to those clients. AAD / AD will be responsible for overseeing up to 10 assigned retainer accounts and projects at a time and will work collaboratively with Brand management to drive division and client priorities.
Open to candidates with Associate Director level experience or Director level experience. AD salary range is 115k - 135K; Director range is 135K - 150K.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee assigned accounts and account teamsServe as first-line contact to clientsActively pitch and secure media coverage on behalf of clients on a local, regional, national and international levelWrite, proof, and edit a variety of PR and marketing materials, while contributing as a core team member on client accountsDevelop compelling stories and draft compelling narratives on behalf of clientsLead client programs and campaigns from planning to execution within the specified budgetDevelop and execute compelling VIP and influencer strategies, with tangible resultsCollaborate with different divisions across the agency to ensure the client is getting access to the agency's network-wide expertiseDeliver strong media and influencer coverage consistently producing high quality internal and external communications contentLead divisional projects as assignedKeep Brand management abreast with regular check-ins of account activities inclusive of staffing needs, existing and upcoming activations, account travel requirements, etc.Have solid connections with leading and emerging editorial talents globallyAchieve exceptional outcomes for current clients and manage an extended portfolio ensuring consistency of service is delivered in line with company practicesDevelop press relationships and manage contacts with key commentators, industry spokespeople, and sector influencersQUALIFICATIONS :
8 years of PR agency experience (experience with worldwide markets is a plus)Expertise with luxury and global accountsProven track record of success landing media placementsEstablished and demonstrable network of editors, journalists, stylists, and industry figures in beauty and wellness, lifestyle, entertainment, and culture (personal and professional relationships are a must)Keen networker, adept at building relationships with key influencers and industry spokespeopleProven ability to present complex industry information to target audiencesExcellent project management skills with strong organizational and planning skillsExcellent client management skillsOutstanding interpersonal skillsStrong negotiation and delegation skillsBusiness acumen with the ability to communicate across departments and represent PR within the businessAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, start-up environmentExceptional relationship-building skills, collaborative, able to work well with othersKnowledgeable on multiple reporting and database platforms including Launchmetrics, MeltWater, Lefty, Muck Rack, and moreTHE IDEAL CANDIDATE IS :
