Ledgent Finance & Accounting is seeking an experienced and dynamic Accounting Supervisor to join a growing team. The Accounting Supervisor will manage the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes, providing crucial support to the Finance & Accounting department. Responsibilities
- Supervise accounts payable and accounts receivable functions across multiple sites to ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.
- Review and evaluate accounts payable entries for accurate account coding and timely payments.
- Ensure three-way match processes are followed and assist in resolving discrepancies.
- Monitor Received Not Invoiced and AP aging report tie to GL.
- Review and assist with ACH payment entries and monthly AP accruals.
- Assist with weekly check runs and monthly AP accruals.
- Oversee accounts receivable entries for adherence to revenue recognition policies and timely payment receipt.
- Review cash receipts entries for appropriate cash applications and monitor AR aging report.
- Assist with collections and coordinate with the customer service team to resolve billing matters.
- Ensure customer PO and shipment packing slips match customer billings.
- Provide backup support for AP and AR functions during employee absences.
- Manage the collection of support documentation for the annual audit.
- Assist with month-end close processes for AP, AR, and GL.
- Prepare month-end journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Perform ad-hoc duties as required.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in accounting/finance.
- Proficient Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience using an ERP system, preferably EPICOR.
- Experienced in query building and data mining.
- Experience in a contract manufacturing environment.
- Must be a team player as measured by peers.

Required Work Hours
8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday. This is an onsite position with an expectation of at least four days in the office each week.
Additional Details
The role involves supervising two team members-one AR accountant and one AP accountant. The department consists of five employees in Union City, CA, and three employees in Chicago, including the CFO. The Accounting Supervisor will report to the Corporate Controller based in Addison, IL, with a dotted line to the Silicon Valley Site Controller. This position requires a high-energy individual who is detail-oriented and has excellent communication skills.
