What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounts Payable (Specialist) position at Ledgent Finance & Accounting?
Overview:
Under limited supervision, performs routine accounts payable and processing functions following established procedures.

Essential Functions:
- Performs full cycle of "extremely high volume" Accounts Payable for the US and Canada Entity processing including invoice entry, 3-way matching, coding, and Payment processing. (Check, ACH, wire, P-card)
- Manages corporate Visa credit card and monthly reconciliation.
- Manages and reconciles our Amazon Business account on a monthly basis.
- Sets up new vendors in company database and ensures appropriate documentation is on file.
- Prepares annual 1099's and filing of the 1096.
- Prepare quarterly tax payments on the various relevant government websites.
- Prepare expense schedules as requested by the CFO.
- Responds to vendor calls and inquiries following through to resolution.
- Handles documentation requests associated with the Chef Works Supplier Diversity program.
- Maintains both physical and electronic files for the AP department.
- Meets productivity and quality standards for the Accounts Payable Specialist.
- High school diploma or equivalent, some college course work preferred.
- Two to five years progressive general accounting experience to including Accounts Payable.
- Demonstrated computer proficiency in general PC operations and in a Windows 2007 or above environment. Experience must include: data entry into ERP / MRP systems to include look up and the ability to navigate menus (Sage preferred) and Excel to include the creation, maintenance and troubleshooting of spreadsheets. Use of Email and calendaring software.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate with frustrated and difficult individuals.
- Detail oriented with a proven track record of strong organization skills.
