AP Specialist in Concord

Ledgent Finance & Accounting is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable (AP) professional to join the team at Gilbane, located 100% onsite in Concord, California. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain knowledge of the construction and Federal contracting industry in domestic and international projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a variety of AP functions and ensuring a smooth workflow within a growing team.

• Process vendor invoices through workflow for multiple entities and projects.
• Assist with compiling timecard information for payroll processing.
• Handle a high volume of inbound telephone calls and emails.
• Support all onboarding functions to ensure a positive HR experience for every employee.
• Assist with internal and external job movement, including preparation of job postings and new hire packets.
• Assist with employee relations, including gathering data and assisting with investigations.
• Develop and implement HR best practices.
• Support additional HR duties as assigned by supervisor.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience in Construction/General Contractor Organization, preferably with Federal government contracting background.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience processing vendor invoices through workflow for multiple entities and projects.
• Understanding of foreign currency exchange.
• Proficient in CMiC or similar construction ERP.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, with high or intermediate Excel skills.
• Positive, professional attitude with a strong desire to learn and grow within the Division and Enterprise.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Critical thinking skills and strong attention to detail.

Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

As this is a temp-to-hire position, benefits will be discussed upon hire.

Salary Range: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour
