We are looking for a Construction Controller to manage our financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, and job costing. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, cost control, and compliance with industry regulations.
Responsibilities
- Oversee accounting processes (AP, AR, payroll, and general ledger).
- Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and industry-specific regulations.
- Prepare financial statements and manage cash flow.
- Track job costs and budgets to ensure project profitability.
- Ensure compliance with tax laws and audits.
- Improve accounting systems and processes.
- Work with project managers and leadership on financial planning.
- Lead and mentor the accounting team, ensuring adherence to best practices.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in construction accounting or financial management.
- Strong knowledge of job costing, WIP reporting, and contract accounting (percentage-of-completion method).
- Proficiency in construction accounting software (e.g., Sage 300, Viewpoint Vista, Procore, Foundation)
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership and communication abilities.
