Senior Construction Project Accountant

Ledgent Finance & Accounting's client is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Construction Project Accountant to join their team in California. This supervisory position involves overseeing accounting functions related to construction projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.

• Manage construction project accounting, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported.
• Oversee Work-In-Progress (WIP) reporting, providing insights and analysis to project managers and stakeholders.
• Handle payroll processes related to construction projects, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
• Collaborate with project managers and teams to provide financial guidance and support for project budgeting and forecasting.
• Maintain compliance with financial regulations and internal policies, conducting regular audits and reviews.
• Prepare detailed financial reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.
• Develop and implement best practices for construction project accounting processes.

• Proven experience in construction project accounting, with a strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with project teams and stakeholders.
• Proficiency in accounting software and tools relevant to construction project accounting.
• Experience in a supervisory role, with the ability to lead and mentor accounting staff.

Monday to Friday, during standard business hours.

The maximum pay for this position is $120,000 annually. This role is a supervisory position, offering the opportunity to lead and develop a team of accounting professionals.
