Salary: $74,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year

Company Overview:

Our client is a leading distributor of Electronic equipment serving both . National and International clients, including small and large businesses, city, state, and federal government agencies, military organizations, and universities Is looking for a staff accountant to join their team

Position Overview:

This role involves overseeing all aspects of accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable, inventory management, and general ledger reconciliation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent analytical skills, and a keen eye for detail.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 4 years of accounting experience, preferably in a goods-for-resale environment.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including external data connections, pivot tables, and complex formulas.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with vendors, customers, and internal departments.
• Ability to identify, propose, and implement efficiency improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable:

• Assist and mentor clerical staff in processing vendor invoices, performing three-way matches, and issuing payments.
• Review and ensure the accuracy of posted transactions.
• Manage reconciliation of purchases clearing, expense accounts, and purchases made via credit cards.

Accounts Receivable:

• Process and reconcile customer payments, deposits, and refunds.
• Reconcile aging reports and trial balances.
• Assist with the collection of past-due invoices.

Inventory Management:

• Reconcile vendor returns and item valuation adjustments.
• Monitor and address inventory variances.

General Ledger:

• Reconcile asset, income, expense, and suspense accounts.
• Assist with the completion of end-of-period ERP closing tasks.
• Conduct trend analysis and generate financial reports.
