Deskside Technician, Tier 2

Location: Falls Church, VA

Shift: Onsite Mon-Fri (day)

Clearance: Active Secret

Certification: Active Security CE

Years/Edu: Must have 4 years experience and a bachelor; or 8 years experience without a bachelor; or 0-1 years experience with a Masters

Contract to Hire

Responsibilities:

1. Daily client interface.
2. Representing IntelliDyne and its interests in all client engagements.
3. Addressing and correcting any hardware, software or connection issues.
4. Supporting Desktop and Laptop users and solves problems with Microsoft, Adobe, Roxio and other deployed software.
5. Resolving problems through customer education, training and direct assistance.
6. Ensuring backup, recover and data restoration from workstations for customers during upgrades or when a problem with the system is diagnosed.
7. Responding and correcting formatting for printing and all other peripheral issues as they arise.
8. Providing phone and in-person support to users for various systems, including e-mail, LAN/WAN, user account administration, active directory, standard desktop images and applications, COTS and GOTS applications.
9. Serving as the initial point of contact for troubleshooting all IT related problems, including hardware/software, passwords, and printer problems.

Qualifications:

1. 4 years of IT user support experience, preferably in public sector.
2. Bachelor's degree in IT or related field.
3. Active Security CE certification.
4. Active DOD Secret clearance.
5. Minimum of 3 years of enterprise experience in commercial or government environment.
6. Familiar with all standard MS Office software systems and MS Project.
7. Possess knowledge of workstation administration and management including imaging.
8. Basic network support experience to include account administration in active directory environment.
9. Excellent analytical, oral and written communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
10. Ability to gain internal support and to operate independently without supervision.
11. Must have the ability to establish a solid working relationship with customers, technical staff, managers and peers.
