SUMMARY:
Our legal client is looking for a dynamic and strategic Director of Information Technology (IT) to lead and oversee the Firm's technology operations and strategy. This role is responsible for ensuring the effective implementation, security, and advancement of the Firm's IT infrastructure, applications, and support services across all offices. The Director of IT will collaborate closely with firm leadership to align technology initiatives with business objectives, enhance operational efficiency, and maintain compliance with industry standards and best practices. The Director of IT is part of the Information Services division, will be located in the firm's Los Angeles office, and reports to the firm's Chief Information Officer.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and execute the Firm's IT strategy, ensuring alignment with business and operational goals.
- Oversee all aspects of IT infrastructure, network security, enterprise applications, and user support.
- Manage IT governance, risk, and compliance, including data security, cybersecurity, and regulatory adherence.
- Lead a team of IT professionals, including an Infrastructure team manager and a support team manager, while fostering innovation, collaboration, and excellence in service delivery.
- Optimize technology investments, vendor relationships, and budgets to ensure cost-effectiveness and business value.
- Drive continuous improvements in system performance, reliability, and end-user experience.
- Partner with attorneys, staff, and administrative teams to provide technology solutions that support client service and Firm operations.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of IT leadership experience, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment.
- Strong history of managing and completing complex projects.
- Expertise in IT infrastructure, cloud computing, enterprise applications, and cybersecurity best practices.
- Deep experience with law firm applications including Aderant Expert and iManage is preferred.
- Extensive experience with a VMware environment, Windows Server 2016-2022, and Windows 10/11 is highly preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Office 365 administration is preferred.
- Strong leadership, strategic planning, and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with a client-service mindset
