Location : Reporting onsite to Alexandria, VA
Technical Writer will be responsible for collecting and organizing data and information in preparation of documents, training materials, and deployment guides. This includes conducting research of highly technical subject matter organizes information from multiples sources, and express technical information in written form that is comprehensible to a wide audience of readers. Person will primarily will be working on documentation and will need to work with technical staff to interpret information for nontechnical and technical user. Providing information and recommendations for formats, communication channels, etc. to team and customer will be ideal.
Requirements
- Experience with editing, preparing, and producing technical reports and documentation.
- Experience with style guides and formatting of technical documentation and manuals.
- Experience developing diagrams, drawings and interpreting engineering drawings into documentation.
- Experience designing and developing graphics and illustrations for use in technical materials, manuals, and publications.
- Experience with audio or video editing software, preferably with Adobe Captivate.
- Ability to effectively collaborate with departmental and technical staff.
- Ability to deliver high-quality documentation with a demonstrated attention to details.
