Job Title:Accountant

About the Role:
We're looking for an Accountant to join our client's accounting team. You'll handle day-to-day accounting tasks, prepare financial reports, enhance internal controls, and support regulatory efforts. You'll work closely with various teams to ensure accuracy and compliance in our financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting Operations
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting tasks, including journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Ensure transactions are accurately recorded for financial reporting and decision-making.
- Support regulatory activities and manage inter-company billing.
- Collaborate with finance and regulatory teams to ensure data accuracy.
- Assist external auditors and support regulatory audits.
Financial Reporting
- Prepare financial statements and reports following US GAAP, FERC, and SEC standards.
- Provide reports and responses to regulators.
- Contribute to sustainability reporting and budgeting processes.
Internal Controls
- Perform internal control activities, address deficiencies, and identify improvement opportunities.
- Enhance processes and collaborate effectively with other teams.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field (required).
- Professional certification (desired).
- 2-4 years of accounting experience.
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
