What are the responsibilities and job description for the AP Clerk position at Ledgent?
- Enter invoices and credit memos for vendors and suppliers
- Code and enter freight bills
- Verify amounts and receipts on expense reports
- Match checks to the invoices being paid on the check, preparing the checks for signature
- File check stubs and invoices
- Handle vendor inquiries regarding invoices, payments, etc.
- Match Invoices with Receivers and file with Purchase Orders
- Other duties as assigned
- High school diploma required
- Vocational/Trade school training or 2-year degree in accounting desirable
- Proficiency in English to deal effectively with vendors
- Knowledge of personal computers and Microsoft Office software
- ERP system knowledge
- Proficiency with ten-key machine
- Speed and accuracy for data entry
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without close supervision
- Strong communication skills to interact with internal and external constituents
