My client is actively interviewing for their N.W valley Phoenix Accounting Manager Phoenix. You may work 2 days from home. Salary range 130-105K ( DOE) In this role, you will be responsible for the accounting department, manage accounting records, and ensure that financial transactions are properly recorded. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing financial reports, performing account reconciliations. develops and evolves accounting policies and procedures that improve efficiency. - Responsibility will include, but are not limited to, general accounting, prepaids/other assets, inventory/COGS, accrued and other employee-related expenses and liabilities.
- Evaluate, develop, and improve department controls, systems, and procedures to increase accuracy and efficiency and reduce time to complete the close
- Assist in creating proper written documentation of department policies and procedures
- Collaborate with peers to oversee the daily activities of the accounting department
- Manage monthly close process by reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, and multi-entity financial statements
- Responsible for month-end closing processes to include but is not limited to journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance Required
- Certified Public Accountant preferred
- 8 plus years of progressive experience in the areas of accounting, finance, financial reporting, financial analysis, and driving process improvements.
- Process Optimization: Identify and implement process improvements to streamline accounting functions and enhance internal controls.
- System implementation experience Participate in system implementations and upgrades to optimize financial reporting and internal controls
- Multi entity experience required
- Healthcare expereince not required
