The payroll specialist is responsible for processing bi-weekly payroll for salaried and hourly employees, ensuring accurate calculations of wages, deductions, benefits, reimbursements, and compliance with retirement contributions and garnishments. They review timesheets, reconcile payroll before transmission, and manage payroll-related invoices. Additionally, they ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage laws, assist with year-end processing (including W-2 preparation and audits), and uphold grant reporting requirements. They also maintain accurate payroll records, stay updated on regulatory changes, and generate essential payroll reports, such as labor distribution and general ledger entries. Starting hourly rate range $24/hr. - $26/hr.
